We do not as a policy have a rest time. There is a quiet time after lunch. If you would like your child to have a rest, please let us know. Your child will need a blanket from home. |

All full day children need to bring a lunch. Drinks and two snacks are provided. Please try to avoid an abundance of "sweets" as their desert. Cookies, fruit, raw vegetables, or salad may be a a good substitute. |

If you would like to keep a change of clothing on hand please put them in a bag with your child's name on the outside. For preschool students, this will be required. We are outside for recess as much as possible. IF THERE IS SNOW ON THE GROUND-PLEASE SEND BOOTS AND WARM CLOTHING! We love to go out and enjoy it! |

One snack is provided for the the half-day students. The full day children will have a snack in the morning and one in the afternoon. The snack could be crackers, pretzels, fruit, or vegetables and a drink. Many times the snack is related to the unit we are covering. Example: spaghetti with a unit on Italy. If you would like to celebrate your child's birthday you may send in a special snack. |

| **NOTE: Preschool and Kindergarten age children have very little concept of time. They know only that the other children are leaving and they should be too. Please keep in mind that children tend to get nervous and/or upset when their parents are late and they are the last ones at school. If you are going to be late, it is most important you call the school to let us know so we can let the child know. | |

Step Ahead notifies the public through newspaper ads, cable TV, the website and most importantly - word of mouth! An annual open house is held in February or March for all parents and children. This allows parents time to visit the school(s) and have questions answered. As interested parents get in touch with our school(s), they will be directed to our web-site or sent a package in the mail explaining the program along with a registration form. Fill out the registration form and mail to the address at the top of your form, the completed registration form and a non-refundable check for $100.00 to r eserve your child's spot for the upcoming school year. Upon receipt of the registration form, the parent receives a packet with the forms and policies that will complete your child's registration. |
